| Assane Seck is a native of Dakar, Senegal West Africa. Having the trade skills of carpentry, and welding, he began studying the arts of dance and drum under the direction of Lasana DJibata. | |
| Since coming to the United States in 1991, Assanes mission has been to teach people the history of West African drum and dance. He directed drum and dance worskhops for Susan Bradford, Ramon Sylla and Vida Dou Dou Daye Rose in Columbus, Ohio. He has conducted drum and dance classes, workshops, and has choreographed various productions, for schools, church organizations, and other institutions throughout northeast Ohio since 1995, while sharing the arts on frequent tours to Chicago and Boston. |
